When people ask "What is Los Niños?" we like a vague answer. The definition of this party changes as we change and influences do. We like to keep it exciting for you and us. Let's keep an open mind, it's just a private party that has gotten out of hand.

"Where is it?" is another one. Wherever we feel home and are able to throw a party. Antwerp, Ghent, Brussels and Lisbon were on the party map. Train stations, swimming pool, metro stations, clubs, warehouses .. so let's see what's next.

"When is it?". Whenever we feel that the pieces of the puzzle fit. In general that's about 5 times a year.

"Who are the djs?" and "What is the music?". Los Ninos has no residents. Some djs come back because they fit in the idea we have of another party. We like to invite and discover new artists, some well-known in their country but of whom very little people here have heard. We don't like all music-styles but we don't limit to one style either. Check the Walk Of Fame to see that concerts go into quite some directions (pop, rock, hip hop, punk,..) and djs are playing good electronic stuff.

Let's call it "unbalanced harmony". A lot is possible.

los NINOS del parque (pronounce: ninios) is a song of Liaisons Dangereuses.

Contradictions: at the same time that Bucks Fizz wins the Eurovision song contest with "For making your mind up", Liaisons Dangereuses lets us taste the very best of the new wave 80's area.

We love the multi aspect: the title is Spanish but on the album you can also hear English, French and German. The song is no reference for the music played at Los Niños, but combines surprising contradictions, just as we like 'm: dark beats next to a playful title, low bases against screamy voices. The link is rarely made at parties, but we believe that we can have fun like NINOS (children) and let PARQUE define our organic influence, which will be noticed in our sponsors, food and drinks but also in our attitude and respect.

And hey, the party did start in the city "Parque" of Antwerp... on May 28, 2004.

The vicuna is an animal living in the alpine areas of the Andes in South America and is a relative of the llama and alpaca. They have an extraordinary hearing. Vicunas produce extremely fine, exclusive wool as the animal can only be shorn every 3 years. When this is done, it is a special occasion on which special parties are organized. Their insulating hairs are softer and warmer than any other animal, producing the most expensive and best quality wool. Their wool is left natural as it is sensitive to chemical treatment. At the time of the Incas only royalty could wear its fleece.

Our party is called VICUNA as it offers innovating and quality music, mainly vinyl for special occasions, bringing out a rare energy, as rare as the animal itself. Release your beast.

Headliners: Legowelt, Serge, Suzanne Kraft, Juju&Jordash, Beautiful Swimmers, Hashman Deejay, Tim Sweeney + live: Different Fountains, Stellar OM Source ...

flair - touch - sure instinct - instinctive feeling - tact
"having a sure instinct about something, an intuitive understanding"

Dancing, not Banging
<125 BPM (= Beats Per Minute)

The two first parties were an italo  tribute. Following parties were also influenced by nu disco and high energy but include a wider < 125 bpm selection.

Headliners: Bottin, Inflagranti, Daniel Wang, Mike Simonetti ...

With Les Bals we go down nostalgia lane. Offering a variety of 50s to today's hidden (but also highly popular) musical gems. We go back in time and get our best vinyls out.

We made a special mini site : www.lesbals.com

Headliners: Afonso Peixoto, S'Laydies, Alexandre Simoes

Ever since we invited Slava in 2013 and Fatima Al Qadiri afterwards, we added drops of new digital styles into Los Ninos. We will continue to do so but now wanted to set this new breed of baile funk meets grime meets new vogue meets queer hip hop in a setting on its own so we launched 3D.HD.404.

∞ ∞ ∞ 3 Dimensions.High Definition.Error 404 ∞ ∞ ∞

Headliners: Dinamarca, Fatima Al Qadiri, Lotic, Slava, LSDXOXO, Mechatok, Moro, Mobilegirl ...

Glorifying the haydays of the nineties. Think Cherry Moon, Extreme, Boccaccio, Montini and TRANCE from beyond.

We opened our own venue of 1000m2 in the heart of Brussels. A platform for our own events but also for the parties we like. Unfortunately we had to close the venue earlier then foreseen due to Covid19.

The co-founder AAGUILAA is now working on a new project with OUTSOON Magazine. Stay tuned!

We give some extra names to define the type of party

Trio : a mix of 3 of our concepts

Duo : a mix of 2 of our concepts

Cheap & Chic : we reduce or eliminate the international djs to be able to offer local talent at an interesting price

Las Ninas : a majority of female djs in the line up

Free : yep, we sometimes throw charity parties in which a free contribution is asked

We discovered "bio" in 2004 when entering a small store that we thought was selling delicacies. The type of bakery or butcher you see less and less or only for the posh. We started reading some texts on the packaging and discovered "eco" "fair trade" and other labels. Partying and sustainability should not be incompatible we thought. We also treasure work of small artisans because we believe a single person should be able to pursue their dream (job) without the restrictions of a bigger structure.

"I wanted to order an organic juice and couldn't. Isn't this an organic party?"

Yes and no. This is a "bio inspired" party. Most venues run the bar with their proper offer of drinks. In other words: we have nothing to say (nor to earn) about the drinks they serve.

"Why organic?"

Taste it, even top chefs seem to appreciate its flavours.
The environment loves it. No pesticides. No chemicals spoiling the water. No genetically modified stuff. Better management of the soil keeps it healthier.
That counts for you too. More vitamins, less nitrates and other non-human sounding names.

Less waste. Keeping the diversity of crops. Did you notice the same vegetables in some non organic stores over and over again? Yes, there is more than tomatoes and salad ;)
Animal well being. Space for the chickens and cows. Running outside and eating organic food.
Helping out small, innovative companies with a drive as you have rarely seen.

We believe everyone who likes to party at Los Niños is important so we do our very best to give special treatments to all. We have difficulties categorizing people / friends and giving free access. Based on which criteria?

We keep entrance fees reasonable for the line up and venue you get. If you are famous and/or rich we're sure you're dying to contribute.

We don't believe parties are fun with a bunch of uninterested sponsors getting in for free and just watching the rest.

If you are short on cash, try winning a ticket. You can also buy cheaper tickets online sometimes. The earlier you buy, the cheaper they are (early bird).

You get in for free if you work for the party. Press gets free access for a review. This also means that there is no guestlist for people working at Los Ninos or for the artists, djs, bands etc. unless the persons would work for the night or contribute. Some people have done so much for the party that they get free-for-life.

We embrace all different sexual preferences (with consent) and believe in safe sex and although HIV and AIDS are less of a hot topic we like to promote safe sex. Thanks to Sensoa we distribute condoms at most parties.
